19-year-old NOVAA may have a beautifully youthful quality to her voice, but her musical skill is far beyond her age. She's been releasing impressive music consistently for the past two years, including a collaborative EP with Moglii, which I highly recommend.
Gearing up for her Stolen Peaches EP, she gives listeners a new taste of her music with her latest single "Hands." The dark, electro-pop gem reflects on the narrator's frustration in being unable to connect with a lover on an emotional level.
With mournful organs, a raw vocal, and lilting production, she creates a sound she describes as "organic electronic."
Stolen Peaches is set to be a 9-track release, and is somewhat of a patchwork piece. After having her laptop with all her music stolen, NOVAA had to start from scratch, recreating each track with a new perspective. It will be available as a free download October 16.
