Jason Chung, a California producer who crafts electronic beats under the moniker
Nosaj Thing, has emerged from the L.A. shadows to graciously share the first single from his upcoming album.
It's been three years since Nosaj dropped his critically acclaimed debut,
Drift. Beautifully crafted tracks like "Fog" and "
Coat of Arms" still get plenty of spins at my house.
New collaboration "Eclipse/Blue" features Kazu Makino of alt-rock trio Blonde Redhead on vocals. Makino sounds right at home on Nosaj's introspective, spacey production. You could even say the whole thing is a bit celestial. "Eclipse/Blue" arrives as a 10" next month courtesy of
Innovative Leisure before the 2013 release of
Nosaj Thing's sophomore LP,
Home.
I guess we've waited this long. "Eclipse/Blue" will have to sustain us for a few more months.
