Melbourne five-piece Northeast Party House are an Indie Shuffle favorite, especially with writer
Hugh McClure, so he's probably going to be a little devo I got in before him with this one. "The Haunted" is the latest single from indie kiddies, having just premiered on Triple J's
Home & Housed earlier tonight.
While "The Haunted" doesn't stray far from the indie template Northeast Party House has been carving out over the years (Think Bloc Party meets Foals with a touch of the Klaxons), it's one of their most polished productions yet, with just the right balance of pulsating synths, melodic percussion, and jangled guitars. And that last minute freak out is insane!
Put simply, this tune is bloody awesome, and my words don't really do it justice. Give it a listen and I'm sure you'll agree that Northeast Party House is onto a winner with "The Haunted."
