Another Melbourne based indie pop band currently hitting their straps is Northeast Party House. Having released their debut EP (which included Indie Shuffle favorite "Empires") last year, they recently completed their first National co-headline tour alongside Nantes and Millions. This helped cement the band as a live force after a string of energetic performances.
Since then, they've been putting together new material, with groove-inducing "Pascal Cavalier" as their first new single. Produced by the band's drummer Malcolm Besley, it's got all our favorite Northeast Party House elements in bulk. Humid synth and percussion abound, while the bass and guitar lines are typically upbeat and poppy. It's nothing new for the band, but who cares when it's this addictive.
If you like your music hot and sweaty, Northeast Party House is for you.
