Why do we like this?

I usually can't get too into the Americana genre but Nora Jane Struthers & The Party Live has been quite the exception for me. Her single "Carnival" is a sweetly composed Americana-folk ballad that has warm vibes and a country undertone.

"Carnival" starts off with a simple acoustic guitar and Nora's milky vocals singing about the carefree atmosphere of a carnival and the sights there are to see. Soon your ears will be engulfed in strings galore- acoustic guitar, banjo, violin, and a stand-up bass. This is the quintessential line-up for any down-home band, but Nora Jane Struthers & The Party Live have definitely got a modern and refreshing take on a musical style that has stood the test of time for decades.

By this song alone, you can tell that these musicians are incredibly talented and well-trained. It only makes me that more curious to hear their upcoming album, Carnival, set to release on April 16, 2013!
