Why do we like this?
Indie Shuffle favourite Noble Oak has just dropped his brilliant sophomore album, Collapsing Together. Written, produced, mixed and mastered by Noble Oak, the album contains 11 tracks including previously releases singles "Something More," "Out There" and "Distance Gone."
While his debut long player, Past Life, was an ambient collection of dreamy pop tunes, Collapsing Together runs the gauntlet of 80s inspired pop, melding electronica with soft rock instrumentation.
One of the albums early highlights is the joyous "Steal." A groovy synth line is joined by 80s guitar melodies and preppy percussion, with Oak's floaty falsetto and 'Lethal Weapon-eque' sax giving the track a dreamy feel.
