Berlin-based future soul maverick Noah Slee is back with a brand new song to make your gloomy December day even gloomier. Fresh from opening on tour for Hiatus Kaiyote and Fat Freddy’s Drop, the NZ-born singer offers an unfiltered glimpse at the darkest lows of human existence.
I had the pleasure of being able have Noah play an event I run here in Berlin, bringing electronic soul to lounge rooms. It was the launch of the event back in August, and Noah was a natural choice, after seeing him command a whole room as the opening act for Hiatus Kaiyote with just his voice, a guitar, and a laptop. Needless to say, I am a massive fan of the guy; he displays an immense talent all while remaining humble and grounded.
I was also lucky enough to attend Noah Slee's private EP listening party last week. We gathered in Our Berlin Vodka's factory. The event was warm, we got free vodka shots, and the room was filled with wonderful people who loved soul music.
The EP is freaking awesome too, and rest assured, you'll be hearing all about it from my camp! Produced by KitschKrieg, “Sink” is the first released track off Noah Slee’s forthcoming EP To your inner hippy & cos you fly as fuck, set for release in January 2016.
