Every now and then you come across an artist whose songs captivate you and make you want to play them over and over again. I most recently had this with Noah Kahan. There is just something very captivating about the voice of the only 20-year old singer from Vermont.
As a prime example of his style, "Hurt Somebody" is a heartfelt song about the difficulties of ending a relationship, even though it might be for the better. Personal favorite songs include "Hallelujah" and "Sink", and I strongly suggest listening to those on his SoundCloud.
I was lucky enough to attend his first sold out headline show, at The Social in London two weeks ago. Just armed with his guitar, Noah managed to get full attention from the around 150 people present in the venue. A small smile showed when mid-song Noah noticed the crowd singing along. His voice is just as delicate and touching live as on his tracks, which made for a lovely, mellow Wednesday evening. Thank you for that.
I have no doubt Noah Kahan is going to conquer many people's hearts with his music in the (near) future.
