Why do we like this?
NO began as a home recording project in Echo Park last year. Fast forward to this year, NO released a 7" through White Iris Records, and they've also been preparing to tour with Best Coast. So obviously this band is onto something, right?
"What's Your Name" is the the A-side from their 7", and it's quite a nice genre-bending track. The song starts with a low mum, heavy bass beat, and a nonchalant vocal style. All at once, the song explodes into an anthematic ballad that exudes slick energy and gorgeous post-rock compositions. By the middle of the song, you'll probably be humming the melody.
