Why do we like this?

One of the best things about December is that everyone puts together their "End of Year" lists, mixes and whatnot, giving us a chance to find anything we've missed in the past 11 months.

Hot Chip member Joe Goddard's remix of Nneka's "Shining Star" is one such track. Extending the song to nine minutes and combining some classic house elements with an almost euphoric strings section that could have been borrowed from trance, it's a complete transformation.

Highly recommended.
