Why do we like this?

If I decided all of a sudden that I was going to make music, I have a feeling it'd probably be lo-fi house.

Not to put down the skill required -- but something about it just seems far more approachable than, y'know, learning to play drums, guitar, bass, and more so that you can form a one-man-band.

Clearly this whole process seems to come easily to Niyam, who sort of implies that he pulled this together on a whim:

I was drawing up some moody 7th chords in my university library, influenced by the downpour of rain outside. When I got home I added the drums, the bass line, and wrote the piano solo to culminate. I think the track has emotional variation thanks to the use of the mixolydian flat 6 scale, resulting in a melancholy but bright sound.

Definitely nicely done.
