Why do we like this?

I absolutely love it when a band goes against the grain, so the latest single from Nite Fields is already a favorite. We covered the Brisbane band's fantastic debut single "You I Ever Know," but the latest release off their upcoming album is definitely not in the single selection chapter of the industry playbook.

That said, "Winter's Gone" is absolutely gorgeous, and well worth seven minutes of your time. Soaked in shoegaze and psychadelic tones, it possesses a beautiful darkness that causes listeners to drift away. The atmosphere the four-piece creates on this track displays an uncommon talent, and showcases an incredible variance of songwriting.

Nite Field's album Depersonalisation is due out on February 2, and looks to be one of the more intriguing releases of early 2015.
