Nilüfer Yanya has just announced her debut UK and European tour and celebrate with the release of wavy new single "Thanks 4 Nothing."
A slinky guitar based tune with just the right amount of synth, "Thanks 4 Nothing" continues Yanya's merging of musical influences. Her soulful, honey coated vocals are an absolute delight and the easy going production works well as the 22-year-old details a crumbling relationship.
The film compelling clip was shot by new creative duo ENERGYFORCE. Speaking on the clip Yanya had this to say:
“We wanted to make the Handmaid’s Tale meets Pulp Fiction. It carries a strong outdated 70s vibe with occult twists where nothing really goes according to plan and nothing really happens. This echoes both the current political climate and the inner failings of a relationship, both cult like in their own way and blindly following one another. Shot on 16mm film for that cinematic effect”
