Why do we like this?
Musical chameleon Nilüfer Yanya continues to impress with "Golden Cage," her second release of the year. Following on form the 90s themed "Florist" this latest release finds Yanya channeling jazz soundscapes as her uplifting vocals blend with the feel-good instrumentation.
Taken from her forthcoming Plant Feed EP, "Golden Cage" is another wondrous piece of music, with Yanya having this to say about the songs lyrical feel;
"On reflection you see it for what it really is - a trap - but when you're in it, everything seems so perfect and you're not paying attention to much else."
Plant Feed is set for release June 9.
