In 2007 Yoko Ono reworked her back catalog material with several artists to create the remix LP, Yes, I’m a Witch. Artists such as Cat Power, Peach and the Flaming Lips, were invited to select a song from Yoko’s early work with John Lennon, or from her solo career in the 70s and 80s, and given the elements and freedom to recreate or remix the original songs. Most of them chose only the vocals to prove the versatile in Yoko’s work adding brand new backing tracks.

Recently, Ono has announced a new remix LP, Yes, I’m a Witch too, to be released on February 19. It features artists such as Moby, Miike Snow, and even her son Sean Lennon. The promotional singles had been released at the end of 2015: Forgive Me My Love" (by Death Cab for Cutie) and "Soul Got Out of the Box" (by Portugal. The Man.)

Death Cab’s version is almost unrecognizable to the original, reassuring what we learned in 2007 - Ono’s work is indeed versatile and incredibly chameleonic.

Yes I'm A Witch Too will be out this Friday, February 19.
