With a summer tour of the United States imminent, Wavves leader Nathan William's posted a note on Twitter explain who the band makes their music for and detailing six types of people that are no longer welcome at their shows. The note begin by saying that with growing fame comes, "an inevitable type of person or fan with whom you truly don't share the same thoughts and opinions as..."

Williams then details six type of people that are "not welcome at a Wavves show." That list includes anybody who’s supported #AllLivesMatter, anybody who’s “gone out of [their] way to defend police in America,” people who blame rape victims, homophobes, racists, and Donald Trump supporters.

Wavves stance on who can attend their shows has earned them some praise from Devonte Hynes of Blood Orange and New York City electronic musician Pictureplane.

But with the love also comes hate, which Williams has been dealing with all night on his Twitter feed.
