Violent Soho will head out on one of their biggest tours yet to support the May release of their new album, WACO. Special guests and close friends dance-punk duo DZ Deathrays and rock-band Dune Rats will join the Australian four-piece rock outfit on the national tour that promises to be a spectacular series of live shows.

“It’s the best line-up we’ve ever been able to put together,” said Violent Soho of the supports acts they’ve been trying to coordinate since 2012. “Our manager even said it would never happen. Now our tour manager is devastated.”

The group’s last LP, Hungry Ghost, took the band to new heights of fame, and it was in August of last year that they went into studio with producer Bryce Moorhead to put together WACO. The highly anticipated 11-track album will be the band's fourth studio release, with lead single “Like Soda” coming in at No.15 in the triple j Hottest 100 of 2015. Fans will be left fighting for tour tickets after the band pulled in record crowds for their recent appearances at Laneway Festival and Party In The Paddock.

“Every time we’re at a show people come up to us and be like, ‘when are you going to tour with DZ and Dune Rats?’ and they’ve had the same thing as well,” said guitarist James Tidswell in an interview with triple j. “We’ve just been trying to make it happen for ages. It’s just so much better going on tour with your mates and Dune Rats make everything more interesting. I think the hard thing for us is going to be holding back on the whole new record and still trying to play some of the older ones. We’re pretty keen to start playing the new songs and to us, [it’s] just super exciting. We can’t wait to get out there and play them.”
