Last month Canadian producer Kaytranada announced his debut album, 99.9%, along with a run of European and North American tour dates. As a way to build more hype for the album, Kaytranada has released a really cool side-scroller video game, 99.9%: The Game.
The simple game is a lot of fun to play and if you reach a high score, you will be rewarded with a download of "Nobody Beats the Kay," a bonus track from Kaytranda's upcoming album. For what it's worth, I won the download after scoring only 121 points, so don't be discouraged!
The game's format is very similar to 2013's wildly popular mobile game Flappy Bird. As you navigate a plane through a maze of trees, volcanoes, and lightning bolts, you collect marijuana leaves, gold coins, and crowns.
Along with his North American and European dates, Kaytranada will also be touring behind 99.9% in Australia and New Zealand in October.
99.9% is out via XL on May 6th and is available for preorder now.
