Whether you're constantly following the US presidential race or not, it's common knowledge that Bernie Sanders is getting most of the youth and young adult votes. As such, young and trendy actors and musicians have come out in support of the Vermont senator by throwing fundraisers to promote his candidacy and even appearing at his events.

Just recently, Vampire Weekend, Grizzly Bear, and TV on the Radio announced that they will be playing at Sanders' campaign events in New York City starting tomorrow. The concerts will be free to the public, and the dates, locations, and additional information are as follows:

4/13: Vampire Weekend @ Washington Square Park

4/17: Grizzly Bear @ Prospect Park

4/18: TV on the Radio @ Hunter's Point South Park

There will also be special guests such as Dirty Projectors, Spike Lee, Rosario Dawson, Tim Robbins, Danny DeVito, Justin Long, Danny Glover, Fisher Stevens and more at each of these rallies.

Yesterday, Ed Droste of Grizzly Bear visited Columbia University and NYU in the efforts of "getting out the good word" with Shailene Woodley and Kal Penn, among others. His Instagram photo documenting the event can be seen below:

In my opinion, the efforts made by all of these well-known celebrities to promote support for Bernie Sanders' candidacy should make a difference in getting young, politically-neutral Americans to go out and vote. After all, free indie rock concerts are big enticements.
