?uestlove just released a new animated short, courtesy of his publication Okayplayer, that tells a story too outlandish to be fictitious. After hearing stories of Prince firing a crew member for making eye contact, shit talking Michael Jackson's ping-pong skills, giving his pet doves album credits, and more, the following story came to absolutely no surprise. However, the story of Prince replacing The Roots member ?uestlove with a DVD about "cartoon fish," retains the hilarity I'm used to hearing about when it comes to the purple loving rock and funk legend.
This animated short tells a tale so mystical, that putting it in writing wouldn't do the justice it truly deserves. The story includes romance, Fela Kuti, miscalculations, a pink Hummer limousine, pool sharking, and even the best piece of cinema that has ever gifted the planet, Finding Nemo. It's really everything that one would hope for in a blockbuster film, condensed to a five minute short that you won't get sick of watching.
