tUnE-yArDs Soundtrack Google Doodle For International Women's Day

tUnE-yArDs mastermind Merrill Garbus contributed to the celebrations of yesterday's International Women's Day (March 7) by providing the music for a dedicated Google Doodle video.  The video's concept came from filming 337 women in 13 different countries finish the sentence "One day I will..." Some of the answers were then compiled and twinned with fitting animations and, of course, Garbus' very apt tune.

Not at all dissimilar to the distinct noises she produces in tUnE-yArDs, the soundtrack throbs with chanting, looped vocals that dance over tugging rhythms and bass synth-lines.
