This year is starting to look like a big one for Radiohead. The band recently announced a world tour, which has already pretty much sold out entirely, and a new album is HOPEFULLY on its way. During this exciting time, frontman Thom Yorke is also offering one fan the chance to own some Radiohead memorabilia through an auction benefiting Oxfam, a charity against poverty and worldwide injustice. Yorke is auctioning off his handwritten lyrics to Radiohead’s song “Airbag” from the brilliant 1997 album OK Computer.

The lyrics read:

in the next world war in the one you left behind i am born again in the neon sign scrolling up and down i am born again in an intastella burst i am back to save the universe in a deep deep sleep in the love you never had i am born again in the fast german car in the sliding juggernaut an airbag saved my life in an intastella burst i am back to save the universe

The lyrics are written inside the front cover of William Blake’s Songs of Innocence and Experience, an illustrated collection of poems that has been heavily annotated by Yorke. So if you win the auction and become the lucky owner of the original lyrics to a Radiohead song, you will also receive classic reading material that has been deemed worthy by Thom Yorke - dreams really do come true! The auction began today, and the top bid is at about £1600, or $2318. Be sure to check out the auction here before it’s over.
