Now in its 28th iteration, Third Man Record's "Vault" vinyl subscription service offers up quarterly packages of rare, live, and other unreleased music. Past releases have ranged from-the-board bootlegs from The White Stripes' first Asian tour to split-color 12" & 7" records. The packages (usually) include a full length LP, a single, and another novelty.
2016's second quarterly release is an offering that will make great appeal to fans of Jack White, old and new. Fans of the Lazaretto tour, which spanned the world across 2014 & 2015 ended in five performances in the United States, taking White & Crew to venues untouched by the earlier legs of the tour.
However, these dates were unique in White's signature number three ways: performances were announced morning or even afternoon of the show; tickets were $3 and non-transferable, cash only purchases; and the shows were entirely acoustic. From a Third Man press release:
No amplifiers, only ribbon microphones used, and no monitors on stage ... the performance ... contains a career-spanning set with standards from the White Stripes, Raconteurs, and Jack White's solo catalog, reinterpreted for performance with no amplifiers. The performance was captured exclusively by ribbon microphones and is dripping with atmosphere.
While the final performance of this tour was streamed on (White-partnered) TIDAL, until now, they were only available in the ephemeral eyes and ears of attendees.
For The Vault's 28th release, Third Man Records will release Jack White Live in Idaho which will include a double LP of White's performance in Boise, a DVD of his performance in Alaska, and a photobook documenting the tour shot by David James Swanson.

The deadline to subscribe for The Vault, which will guarantee you a copy of this fine package, is April 30, and is available worldwide. Head over to Third Man Records' website for track lists, and more subscription details.
