In two separate interviews, one with DIY Mag and the other with NME, The Strokes guitarist, Nick Valensi has confirmed the band is "alive and kicking" in New York City, and that a new album is currently in progress.

In a separate interview with Rolling Stone, Valensi reiterated that he is still very unsure when the new music will be available, he continued, "It's early, but we've got maybe eight to ten ideas that are floating around. None of them are super concrete just yet, but it's cool stuff."

As Artist Direct pointed out, the guitarist is also currently busy reading for the release of his side project CRX -- you can expect that on October 28th.

What are you supposed to do from October 28th onward?! Well, you'll probably just have to wait.
