SXSW will take place between March 11-20 in Austin this year, and Samsung will again be holding its three-day Galaxy Life Fest in conjunction with the festival. The headliners of the sponsored event will be The Strokes, ColleGrove (a project by rappers 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne), and Sia. The lineup continues Samsung’s tradition of bringing big names to SXSW Interactive as last year’s performers included A$AP Rocky, Iggy Azalea, Mary J. Blige, Hot Chip, and D’Angelo.
Galaxy Life Fest 2016 Full Lineup:
Friday. March 11: The Strokes, The Arcs
Saturday, March 12: ColleGrove, Public Enemy
Sunday, March 13: Sia, Elle King
Similar to previous years, tickets are only available to Samsung Galaxy device owners (condolences to my fellow iPhone users) and select badgeholders on a first-come, first-serve basis at the Samsung Studio starting at 11am on the morning of each concert. In order to gain access to all three days of the event, SXSW attendees must buy the new S7 or S7 Edge phones at the pop-up store at the festival.
