Patience is a virtue, so they say, and The Shins are shamelessly testing that notion in the lead up to their yet-to-be-confirmed-but-all-signs-point-to-a new album.

Back in February, the Albuquerque based band shared a clip via Instagram previewing a supposed track to be, but there weren't any accompaniments of a title or album release date. And there still isn't BUT they have just released another Instagram, or what they call a #shinstagram, a few hours ago.

Set to a sky or moving clouds and the caption "King Puffin", you can listen to the clip below:

The (unconfirmed) sound like, "Where will you go and what will you eat? What will you say to the people you meet? You're just a little man, a little man. He was just a little man, he was just a little -"

It's been a lengthy four years since The Shins' last album, 2012's Port of Morrow, but it's also the typical time frame between their releases. After Wincing the Night Away in 2007, listeners had to bare a five year period for new material...So savor these Shinstagrams, people.
