After literally six years of patience (or impatient meme-ing, seriously, who will miss the endless LEAK IT DEAK posts?) Animal Collective member Deakin has released his EP Sleep Cycle, stream or purchase it via Bandcamp below.
Leading up to the release, Deakin began to semi-actively post in the Animal Collective fan forum, Collected Animals, to discuss the process of production and distribution, and to express feelings about leaks, and internet negativity. Head over there to see his thoughts (as he expressed a desire for his words there to remain for that audience).
As if this surprise release wasn't enough, a music video for the song "Just Am" directed by Lawrence Simonitsch, is now available on Animal Collective's YouTube.
With the release of Painting With, 2016 is shaping up to be an amazing year to be a fan of Animal Collective.
