The Lumineers Have (Most Likely) Returned

There has been much speculation about The Lumineers, who have been incredibly quiet after their groundbreaking debut album release in 2012. Last night, they updated their website to have the homepage serve as a countdown clock. Above the clock is a YouTube video, showing snippets or the band performing over the past few years.

The clock seems to be counting down to Friday 7 am CST. So what is the clock counting down towards?

Although just speculation, we're guessing it's new music, or at the very least, an announcement about new music. Yes, it’s been four painfully long, silent years for The Lumineers fans, but the band seem to have finally finished recording. According to pictures and videos posted on their Twitter page, it seems they have been working on this record since the middle of July of 2015.

The Lumineers have been leaving a trail of breadcrumb hints toward what the clock is counting down towards by tweeting pictures of celebrities’ asking them when their new music should be released.
