Valentine's Day is still a couple weeks away, but I wanted to let you know there will be no need for chocolates or roses this year. Instead, the best gift that could be given is a pair of tickets to Ashanti and Ja Rule's Valentine's Day Special event.

Yes, that's right. We can party in love again like it's 2003.

The R&B singer and hip-hop artist, Ashanti and Ja Rule, will perform together for two rare concerts, one in Los Angeles and the other in San Francisco.

Famous for their hits in the early 2000s, it appears the performers are still in high demand. 1015 Folsom, the 2000 person San Francisco venue, has already sold through presale tickets and announced there will be “only a very limited number of tickets available at the door”. Tickets for the Los Angeles show go on sale Friday, January 22nd.

As for what the future holds for the two artists after Valentine's Day weekend, Ja Rule told HollywoodLife.com his plans of an upcoming album with Ashanti. He stated, “Everybody wants me and Ashanti to do a record. You know, we will. We’re going to put something together — but I can’t promise that it’s going to sound like out old stuff! It won’t. You gotta evolve.”

In an interview with Billboard a month earlier, the hip-hop artist also explained he’s ready to get back to work in the music scene with plans of a double album and a world tour with Ashanti. However, no official tour or album dates have been released yet.
