An part music documentary series about the late Sir George Martin is set to be aired on PBS in November this year.

The legendary producer worked alongside his son Giles in creating the documentary series which is entitled Soundbreaking.

It will focus on the fascinating stories within the studios around the world where classic songs have been made throughout the years. The series will document these previously unheard stories with the help of over 150 interviews with artists and producers who were involved to offer their individual opinions and perspectives.

There will be a different premise for each episode, and will include one which focuses solely on Martin and his work with the Beatles, along with one about notorious producer Phil Spectator, and one that delves into the topic of sampling in hip-hop.

The sheer number of big names included in the project is truly mind-boggling and includes: Sir Paul McCartney, Rick Rubin, Nile Rodgers, Questlove, Brian Eno, and BB King.

Just a week after Martin’s death, the first two episodes premiered at the South by South West festival in Austin, Texas yesterday. But while you wait for the full series to begin airing, you can watch the trailer below which was released recently:
