I wasn't expecting it, but earlier today Sigur Rós uploaded three new tracks as part of an EP on SoundCloud. The move announced a live, 24-hour-long stream of someone driving around Iceland, viewable now and here. I've been watching for a few minutes and it's pretty creepy (the music + visual landscape).
In light of a few band members' recent collaboration with the Tate Modern, the haunting approach doesn't come as much of a surprise. I've embedded the trippy interactive video for States Of Matter below (produced in collaboration with House Of Greenland), but you're probably best checking it out in a new tab. It's weird.
