Famed presenter and interviewer Narduwar has returned for the first time since suffering a stroke with an interview with Ty Segall.

Narduwar the Human Serviette suffered a stroke in December last year, while at a party that was being hosted by Mint Records. He was sent to Vancouver General Hospital but was later given the all clear and discharged.

The Canadian is well known for his unique, unusual and extremely well-researched interviewing style and techniques, where he draws on his subject's past with the use of old records, merchandise and much more.

In his first interview since having a stroke, he interviewed Californian rocker Ty Segall. The two chatted about 90’s garage bands and Segall’s black metal past.

Narduwar gave him a Sodom album which brought about the revelation that, along with Mikal Cronin, he started in a metal group when he was younger where their singer “spat blood and we wore Hawaiian shirts.”

The interview, which lasts nearly twenty minutes, then turned to Segall’s love for The Mummies, The Headcoats and The Gories which he labelled the “holy trinity.” While he also praised Australian band Total Control.

The attention then went onto appreciating the “total insanity” of GG Allin and about a friend who accidently hit a baby while throwing a frisbee.
