Canadian singer-songwriter JF Robitaille's third album, Palace Blues, is nearly upon us. With his thoughtful melodies and illustrative lyrics, he has drawn comparisons to Leonard Cohen or Bob Dylan, but these may be best considered as no more than influences, as Robitaille has crafted his own unique sound and storytelling abilities.

The physical CD release will actually be accompanied by (and found inside) a book titled Minor Dedications, a special collection of lyrics, poetry and more, including photographic interpretations of the lyrics found in his new album, created by no less than 11 photographers.

Palace Blues comes out this Friday, June 17 via Sparks Music/Universal and INgrooves. Meanwhile, the book, including a free CD, comes out on the same day via SparksINK and Book Thug.

Watch the video for lead single "Missing You" featuring Julie Doiron.

Catch JF Robitaille on tour this month and keep an eye on his website to purchase the book and album, and Facebook and Youtube pages for more information.
