Light Beam Rider has come a long way from playing shows in front of friends and family in their hometown of Corinth Mississippi. The band recently relocated to Nashville Tennessee, hoping to benefit from the booming music scene there.

Now, the band have announced that they are preparing for the release of their second studio album, A Place to Sleep Among the Creeps. The album is set to launch on Feb 12 at Little Harpeth Brewing in Nashville, and so far promises to encompass the same punk/grunge/post-rock themes as the first album.

In a demonstration of fan loyalty, Light Beam Rider's relocation to Tennessee was highly criticized by fans in Mississippi, who saw it as a betrayal of the band’s Mississippi identity - an identity that is essential to the band and is apparent by their debut album entitled Mississippi. That said, the band have enjoyed increased success, silencing critics by performing a current total of 123 shows since relocating.

To demonstrate their continued commitment to their Mississippi identity, Light Beam Rider spent a large portion of 2015 touring with fellow Mississippi band The Weeks, included several returns to their native state.

Earlier this month, the band released the video clip to the album's title track. Watch below, and check out the album launch event details here:
