2016 will be quite a milestone for Memphis in May, as the month-long event will be in its 40th year in the making. And in celebration, they've revealed the lineup for their Beale Street Music Festival - but it’s not just any lineup.

This year has an immensely diverse selection of performers in commemoration of forty years worth of music that attendees have experienced. Marketing director Penelope Huston told Local Memphis, “It's our 40th anniversary and we have four decades of really solid talent to support that, everyone from Neil Young and Paul Simon to Zedd."

Kicking off on April 29th until May 1st, The Beale Street Music Fest booked over 60 artists of multiple genres. The full, official lineup includes:

Of the 60+ announced, 30 will be performing at the festival for the first time. Additionally, Memphis will be showing hometown pride with 14 local acts.

The Beale Street Music Festival will traditionally kick off Memphis in May, as the 1st out of 3 main extravaganzas. The 2nd: International Week, sponsoring Canada from May 2-8. The 3rd: World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest from May 12-14.
