Florence + The Machine could be the next subject of “Making a Murderer” director Laura Ricciardi, one of the creatives behind the explosively popular Netflix series.

This week, Ricciardi made an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to discuss the ten years she and fellow film-maker, Moira Demos, spent in Wisconsin weaving together their story. They gathered so much compelling footage that it had to be spread out over ten episodes, and the shocking intensity of what they produced has completely gripped the Netflix community and beyond.

During the interview, Ricciardi also tells of how she’d like their next project to be based on the life and travels of super-star Indie darlings, Florence + The Machine. Florence Welsh’s ethereal presence would undoubtedly create a more upbeat (and maybe even more enjoyable) viewing experience to Making A Murderer, but so far no one from the Ricciardi/Demos camp has reached out to the musician to make plans.

You can watch the full video here, where Ricciardi exclaims her desire around the 4.28 mark, much to the delight of the audience.

Florence + The Machine are nominated for four Grammys for their 2015 album, How Big How Blue How Beautiful. The band are continuing their mammoth "How Beautiful" world tour throughout 2016, including stops at BottleRock and Sasquatch festivals.
