Jesse Hughes of Eagles Of Death Metal made news last week when, in an interview with Fox Business Network, he strongly insinuated that security staff at Le Bataclan theatre might have been involved in the attack that took place on 13th November last year.
The claim was quite obviously met with severe criticism - as were his other recent comments about French gun control.
The singer has now made a complete u-turn and offered an apology for his words via Facebook post, saying that his suggestion was "baseless" and the result of his battle with trauma caused by the incident.

In the interview with Fox, Hughes alluded that some of the security guards skipped work that night because they knew what was going to happen, saying "it seems rather obvious they had a reason not to show up." The venue owners responded to Hughes' conspiracy by calling it "insane," and gave a full statement which reads:
"A judicial investigation is undergoing. We wish to let justice proceed serenely. All the testimonies gathered to this day demonstrate the professionalism and courage of the security agents who were on the ground on November 13. Hundreds of people were saved thanks to (these agents') intervention."
Eagles Of Death Metal were set to finish their cancelled European dates but had to pull out again due to Hughes damaging a tendon in his finger.
