Having only announced it a few hours ago, James Blake's much-anticipated third album The Colour In Anything has now arrived slightly ahead of schedule.
Purchase it here or stream it below via Spotify.
The album is 17 tracks long, with an extensive running time on one hour and sixteen minutes.
The artwork was designed by Roald Dahl illustrator Quentin Blake, and was revealed via billboards last week.
The only listed collaboration is with Bon Iver on the track "I Need A Forest Fire," which was first heard earlier today on Annie Mac's BBC Radio 1 show.
Interestingly, Blake told The Guardian that he was apparently supposed to release it a couple weeks ago and delayed it so as not to compete with the release of Beyonce's Lemonade.
He also told Pitchfork that Kanye West never actually ended up on the album: "Something was supposed to happen; I don't really know how to describe how that didn't work out. I wanted Kanye to be on the song "Timeless," but the verse didn’t materialize. I think a huge swath of things happened in his life, and I just stayed out of it. Eventually, the mood of the album changed, and in the end I don't think it would have fit. But I didn't say I was working with Kanye just so people would get interested—I really wanted him to be on it."
The album does however include features from Bon Iver and Connan Mockasin.
