James Blake's follow up to his second LP, Overgrown, was a sporadic invitation to soulful piano-laden ballads. The Colour in Anything was something we didn't expect, given his previous track record. But now he's given us some Bon Iver and more heart-thumping beats. Not that anyone's complaining.
In an interview with the Rolling Stone, Blake talks about the frustrations he had to struggle with in the making of this album. Turns out his bedroom was directly below his studio which meant that his perfectionism reminded him of the work literally hovering above him. One day, Coachella introduced him to Rick Rubin, and the rest is history.
His website announced his upcoming tour in light of his most recent success, releasing a sweet inspired poster along with it.
