After 49 years in the music business, Iggy Pop reveals that his new album, Post Pop Depression, is likely his last. In a recent interview for Apple Music, Iggy Pop was quoted saying, "I feel like I’m closing up after this. That’s what I feel. It’s my gut instinct." Below is a link to the whole interview.

A collaboration with Josh Homme of Queens Of The Stone Age and Eagles of Death Metal, Post Pop Depression also touts an all star supporting cast (pictured below), also featuring Dean Fertita from QOTSA, as well as drummer Matt Helders from Arctic Monkeys.

The new album is expected to be released on March 18.

The 68 year-old Iggy Pop didn't completely rule out making more music in the future, but another full album is highly unlikely. When asked about making albums, Iggy Pop responded saying "to really make a real album you really have to put everything into it and the energy’s more limited now."

If Post Pop Depression is in fact the rock legend's last album, fans can only hope that it is as good as the supporting cast indicates that it will be.
