How's that for pressurized commerce: earlier this week, Hudson Mohawke threatened to release a whole host of beats that were specifically made for Kanye West and Drake.

He claimed on Twitter, in a message that has since been deleted, that he would do so because he hadn’t received any money for his work with the rap superstars.

The original message to his followers said, “Literally about to release zip of Kanye and Drake songs I’ve done that I got 0 for.”

However, the producer then backtracked on these claims the next morning while citing the potential legal costs that such a move would incur as a deterrent.

Despite claiming to not have the “$10 milly” it would take to deal with the consequences, the British producer was still not entirely finished with matters.

He then went on to thank his family and friends for talking him out of releasing the beats. While also throwing a final jab of how he was about to expose “frauds” in the music business.

Stay tuned for a probable response from Kanye West himself where he’ll no doubt answer the accusations with his usual calm and collected demeanour. In what can in no way whatsoever be described as a rant.
