From the streets of LA to the Grammys: Haim's debut album Days Are Gone catapulted the trio to success, from remastering existing pieces to releasing an entirely original material, instantly becoming a festival favorite. They've been home from the road after three years of touring, back to where they first started—their folks' living room brewing up another surreal piece.
The girls have been busy. They talked to Rolling Stone about the making of their sophomore album, explaining that "Little of Your Love" was born as a special request for a movie soundtrack, and that this prompted the trio to keep the the piano prod for the album.
One thing led to another and now they're expecting an entire album to come out this fall, with Ariel Rechtshaid once again on production. With more than a dozen songs, the much-awaited follow up to Days Are Gone promises an intersection of "organic and non-organic sounds". As to what that means, we'll only have to wait to listen.
A change of sound, perhaps? No drastic genre shifts. Just a more solid rock foundation. To get a taste of what the album might be like, check out "Nothing's Wrong". It's official; expect it to join the ranks of their sophomore album.
