This week, Forbes magazine released its fifth annual "30 Under 30" lists, celebrating 30 international influencers from each field, including music, art, fashion and business. It only takes a moment to look at the 30 representatives of under-30 musicians to realize just how strong the industry is right now - check it out here.
On the hip-hop and R&B front we've got Fetty Wap, Schoolboy Q, Kehlani and Rae Sremmurd and producer Metro Boomin', as well as Dave Free, the 29-year-old CEO of Top Dawg Entertainment (home to Kendrick Lamar, SZA and more). Soul singer Leon Bridges is also featured, alongside pop princesses Demi Lovato, Halsey and Selena Gomez. Katie Crutchfield (better known as Waxahatchee), Pentatonix and Grimes have also made serious waves throughout the past few months, earning themselves a spot on the esteemed list.
It's incredible to see so many artists succeeding at such a young age - many of the entrants are under 25, with the youngest male entrant, Sean Mendez, coming in at the ripe young age of seventeen, and the youngest female, Kehlani, is twenty years old.
It kinda makes you wonder what you've done with your own life...
