Remember Martin Shkreli— the guy who jacked up the prices on anti-infective AIDS medication by 5000%, purchased that one-of-a-kind Wu-Tang Clan album Once Upon A Time In Shaolin for two million dollars, and was then arrested for security fraud?
Wu-Tang founding member RZA was the primary force behind the one-off album sale and has been the most vocal about its buyer. Although he expressed remorse when the news first came out regarding who exactly had purchased the album, and the terrible allegations being held against him, his views on the situation seem to have relaxed somewhat.
Speaking to Bloomberg TV this week, he essentially told the publication that what's done is done in regards to the money and where it came from, and that Shkreli is free to do as he pleases. "He bought it, he can do what he wants," RZA stated. "Art—the beautiful thing about art, from my standpoint, is that it has no discrimination."
"If Mr. Shkreli feels philanthropic, he has the power to do something really cool, you know what I mean?"
