Lupe Fiasco and Rhymefest are set to headline the Lake FX Summit + Expo at the Chicago Cultural Center on May 13th and 14th. We all know Lupe, but Rhymefest is possibly one of the greatest ghostwriters in the game you probably didn't know about.

Last year at the Academy Awards he joined an elite club of musicians when he received an Oscar for his work with Common and John Legend on the song "Selma", having already won a Grammy in the past for co-writing "Jesus Walks" with Kanye West. He's clearly not as well known as Lupe, but I wouldn't miss him on Friday, May 13th.

Lupe will be headlining on the 14th and as he eluded to in a tweet this past week he could be retiring soon. I have to admit the tweet is somewhat ambiguous, particularly as he has announced at least three more albums to come out this year, but you'd have to assume that if he stops writing music he's probably going to stop touring. However, don't get too bummed, with the trilogy (yes that's three albums) he has planned you'll have more than enough Lupe for awhile.

Whether you're a Lupe fan, or have been a Rhymefest fan since he co-wrote "Jesus Walks", the event is free so there's no excuse not to attend. Plus who wouldn't want to experience a Chicago summer?

Don't forget to RSVP in advance. For tickets and more info go here.
