It’s time for the most successful duo in music history to take the stage once again.
Today, Hall & Oates announced they’ll embark on a U.S. tour this summer and will be joined by opening acts, Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings and Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue.
Amusingly in enough, the announcement was also made by none other than mock-rock duo the Blue Jean Committee, a fictional group played by Fred Armisen and Bill Hader who satirizes ‘70s soft-rock bands. Originally created for IFC's Documentary Now! series, the Blue Jean Committee is also known for last year’s single, “Catalina Breeze” which was released on a 7-track EP via Drag City.
While there’s no word yet on whether the comedic act will make an appearance during the tour, you can watch their entertaining tour announcement below:
Tickets for the tour go on sale Friday, February 12 at Live Nation. The second season of Documentary Now! will return to IFC in the Fall.
