Huge news for fans of stadium rock band Foo Fighters. Dave Grohl and co have apparently announced that the multi-platinum winning five-piece will be going on an "indefinite hiatus."

Rumors recently began to circulate about the band's decision to end, and although a Foo Fighters rep called the hiatus rumor "utterly ridiculous," the band have now shared a mysterious tweet announcing big news coming soon:

Despite the denial, Consequence of Sound report that drummer Taylor Hawkins revealed the truth in an interview from back in January, where he announced the hiatus, or "i-hate-us" as he called it.

“We’re on ihateus right now, we’re on an indefinite ihateus," he says, then specifying, "We say i-hate-us instead of hiatus." "I think that the world needs a break from us for a little while."

Watch Hawkins’ interview below, with the specific comment made at 5:10.
