An undisputed king of experimental electronic, and Brainfeeder label boss Flying Lotus, has excited fans with the news that 2016 will be his most prolific yet. Included in the reveal comes news that we'll be hearing a full new albumbefore the year is out - a follow-up to 2014's brilliant You're Dead!
The news came today in an interview with Zane Lowe on Beats 1 Radio. The interview was focused on his contribution to an upcoming Star Wars album, curated by Rick Rubin, for which FlyLo has composed pieces using samples from the film franchise. He debuted his new track, inspired by the beloved space franchise, titled "R2 Where Are You?" - listen below.
Capping off the interview, Lowe asked about what we can expect throughout 2016.
"There's a lot going on," he said. “I think this will be my most prolific year.” When Lowe asks him directly about a new album, he simply answers "I believe so."
