Flume's highly anticipated sophomore album Skin finally has a release date.

After building hype with singles "Smoke & Retribution" and "Never Be Like You," as well as teasing fans with previews on SoundCloud, Flume has announced that Skin will be dropping May 27. The announcement comes with a free download of a new track that is off the wall to say the least.

"Wall Fuck" (which you can listen to below or download here) eschews the standard EDM formula of build-up and drop for juxtaposition between dreamlike vocal sampling and off-kilter trap beats.

The track is full of all the inventive synth sounds and samples that we've come to expect from Flume, but takes on a more free form quality than his previous work (and Flume has made a name for himself by fusing dance music with abstract hip-hop, so that's saying something).

"Wall Fuck" is undoubtedly one of Flume's strangest tracks yet, and a clear testament that Flume is still growing and evolving as an artist and a reminder to expect the unexpected when Skin drops May 27. Considering how diverse all three main singles are, we are undoubtedly in for one seriously special release from Australian superstar.

No further details, including track list or collaborations have been announced, but we will no doubt find more information trickling out between now and May 27. Stay tuned for updates.
