FKA Twigs and Oneohtrix Point Never are in the studio together, as revealed by a short video snippet posted to both artist's Instagram pages. From the little we can decipher, it sounds like the music is more in the style of FKA's 2015 release M33L155X, as compared to her more laid-back sensual 2016 track, "Good to Love." So far this year, Oneohtrix Point Never has collaborated with Hudson Mowhawke for ANOHNI's 2016 release Hopelessness.
Both artists are known for their experimental forays in and around electronic music that, perhaps oddly enough, work amazingly well. Proof of this is FKA's debut album LP1 winning a Grammy in 2015 (for an albeit strange award) and ranked at number 1 of the Clash's Top 40 albums of 2014 and Oneohtrix Point Never's 2015 release Garden of Delete being ranked at number 11 of Pitchforks best 50 albums of 2015.
Stay tuned for more information.
